About Club Sports

Club Sports are groups of students brought together by similar interests in order to organize and participate in a specific sport and/or recreational sporting activity. Club Sports continues to grow as a dynamic organization on the DU campus and is continuing down a path that will lead many of our student leaders in their successful development as members and active participants in the University of Denver Community.

We currently have 29 active club sports. Many compete interscholastically around the Front Range, surrounding states and even the nation! DU Recreation encourages you to join one of our many clubs or, in the event you would like to start a new Club Sport, we will help walk you through the process.

Student Leadership is the hallmark of Club Sports and the Club Sports Advisory Board (CSAB). The CSAB have elected the four officers, listed on the Contact Us page, to lead the way as we continue to grow and develop as a respected student organization in the DU Community. To foster the success of this organization and to ensure that Club Sports and their members are receiving the benefits of participation, we continue to encourage DU’s students to step up and get involved!

Club Sports Advisory Board
The Club Sports Advisory Board (CSAB) is a board of representatives from each club sport. The CSAB meets every two weeks during the Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters. Each club sport is required to have at least one representative present at each meeting.

The CSAB meetings serve as a round table as well as a common ground for each of the club sports to participate in discussion, team building, and general university involvement. During these meetings information important to the proper functioning of the clubs is disseminated and matured. These meetings are also opportunities for the development of student leaders who participate in the club sports program.
