DU Recreation Lifeguard Training is for individuals without current lifeguard certification or those wanting to completely refresh their skills. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive certification in American Red Cross (ARC) Lifeguard Training, First Aid, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer. This course teaches participants preventative Lifeguarding, in-water rescue techniques, CPR, and basic First Aid skills. A pre-course swim test is required to determine eligibility. All CPR/FA/LGT classes start promptly at the listed times. Participants that arrive late will not be certified and all fees paid will be forfeited.
